Backend Engineer

ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team of backend and DevOps expertsIn this role, you will design and implement scalable, resilient backend services that power products used by millions of usersYou’ll tackle complex engineering challenges, from designing robust APIs and data migrations to building fraud detection systems, while ensuring performance, stability, and maintainabilityEngineering Excellence & Scalability - Architect and implement backend systems that are robust, scalable, and capable of supporting millions of active users.Ensure high availability and reliability through thoughtful system designService Development Lifecycle - Build and maintain services from initial model design to production support.Contribute across all phases, including prototyping, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoringCode Quality & Best Practices - Write clean, maintainable, and well?tested code.Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards and mentor peers on engineering best practicesComplex Problem?Solving - Tackle challenging engineering problems such as designing large?scale graph?based systems, managing large?scale data migrations, and optimizing system performanceObservability & Resilience - Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing practices to ensure system health and reliability.Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecksCross?Team Collaboration - Work closely with DevOps, ML engineers, product managers, and other engineers to ensure smooth integrations and high?quality deliverables.Collaborate with ML teams to bring fraud detection models into production.Align engineering solutions with business needs and operational goalsQualifications and ExperienceSolid understanding of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.Track record of delivering scalable and maintainable systems.Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing).5+ years of professional software development experience.Proficiency in Java/Kotlin and the Spring framework ecosystem.Hands?on experience in domain modeling and REST API design.Experience with AWS cloud services.Hands?on work with Kubernetes for orchestration.Exposure to machine learning?centric systems.Familiarity with Kafka for messaging and event?driven architectures.Experience with graph databases (e.g. Neo4j, Memgraph, Amazon Neptune) or columnar databases (e.g. ClickHouse, Apache Cassandra).BenefitsMeaningful EquityFlexible Working Hours & WorkplaceOpen Vacation PolicyWellness ProgramInternational Travel OpportunitiesAdditional benefit package according to location (401k, medical insurance, etc.)#J-*****-Ljbffr

Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis. Track record of delivering scalable and maintainable systems. Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing). 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in Java/Kotlin and the Spring framework ecosystem.
