With strong in-house R&D and production capabilities, the company develops advanced SoC, MCU, ASIC, and wireless solutions used worldwide.We are looking for aSenior Embedded Wireless Software Engineerto drive advanced wireless application development, with a strong focus onBluetooth Low Energy (BLE)and embedded firmware for semiconductor platforms.This is a hands-on technical role working closely with R&D, Product Management, and Field Application teams to develop reference applications, SDKs, demo kits, and advanced customer use cases. You will contribute across the full lifecycle-from firmware and driver development to system integration, validation, and customer deployment.This is a replacement role driven by upcoming retirements and offers long-term growth within a stable, engineering-led organization.Location:On-siteOffice Location:Marin-Epagnier, SwitzerlandContract:PermanentLanguage:C1 French, B2 EnglishInterview Process:Intro Call + Client Technical & Management RoundsResponsibilitiesDevelop advanced wireless applications (BLE) including hardware, software, and test aspectsDesign application-specific PSPs (demo kits, SDKs, demo use cases)Write embedded application code and test drivers (radio, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, timers, RTC, etc.)Collaborate with BU R&D and Product Managers to define and implement advanced featuresSupport deployment of advanced application use cases with customersTrain Field Application Engineers and provide direct technical customer supportPerform competitive analysis and benchmarkingParticipate in regular technical reviews and progress reportingContribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly team meetingsMaster’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 8 years of hands-on embedded software development experienceStrong programming skills inC/C++, Assembly, and PythonExperience withRTOS or equivalent real-time task schedulersProven background inwireless applications for semiconductor platforms (SoC, MCU, IoT, ASIC)Firmware development experience for radio controllers and stack-based embedded systemsStrong understanding of wireless protocols:Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), IEEE ****, and proprietary protocolsExperience developing and integrating advanced applications on specific hardware platformsHardware design exposure with lab bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting experienceCompetitivegross annual salarypaid over13 monthsPermanent employment contractwith long-term stabilityWork onhigh-reliability semiconductor productsused in automotive, industrial, and consumer applicationsOn-site rolewith direct access to production, test labs, and engineering teamsExposure tohigh-volume manufacturing environmentsand complex test ecosystemsCollaboration withinternational and multicultural engineering teamsOpportunity to contribute tocost optimization and process improvement initiativesStructured technical environment withclear standards, validation processes, and quality frameworksCareer progression opportunitieswithin a global engineering organizationWork within a company that combinesindustrial scale with strong engineering culture
Requirements
Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Minimum 8 years of hands-on embedded software development experience Strong programming skills in C/C++, Assembly, and Python Experience with RTOS or equivalent real-time task schedulers Proven background in wireless applications for semiconductor platforms (SoC, MCU, IoT, ASIC) Firmware development experience for radio controllers and stack-based embedded systems Strong understanding of wireless protocols: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), IEEE ****, and proprietary protocols Experience developing and integrating advanced applications on specific hardware platforms Hardware design exposure with lab bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting experience
