Location: Barcelona, Spain (On-site) 3 days/week working from the office.ThePrivacy Leadis acritical rolethatwill lead theimplementation of privacy controls acrossthe EUCAN (EU-Canada)region,while aligning with broader businessobjectives.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all data practices adhere toprivacy laws and other dataregulatory standards, company policies, and industry best practices.This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of dataprivacy andaccountability The role will be based inBarcelonaand report toJessica Jolly,Global Head -Alexion Data Office.Key Responsibilities:Conduct various first-line privacy advice activities in support of theEU / Canadamedical &commercialorganizations,including (but not limited to)Privacy reviews and Privacy Impact Assessments for business activities,Establishmentandmaintenanceofdata inventories (ROPA),the response to data incidents and data subject access requests,clinical trial-related privacy advice including the review andmaintainingof Informed Consent Form (ICF)templates, advice on the use of human biological samples, primary and secondary use of trial data,etc.Trackand addressdata privacy risksacross the supportedfunctionsandreporton privacy risk posture.Monitor global privacy developments toanticipateandimplementappropriate controlsfor emerging privacy risks.Leverageand promoteGlobal PrivacyStandards,toolsand processesto ensure that privacy is consistently addressed across the organization; support EUCAN country first-line privacy officers in implementing global Privacy program.Build strong relationships withbusinessstakeholdersand Global Privacy Office stakeholders, including data owners, data stewards, business users,and the Data Protection Officer.Act as the primary point of contact for data privacy related inquiries from the supported organizations;Eeffectively communicate data privacy requirements to all stakeholders.Collaborate withenterprise Privacy Leads,IT, legal, compliance,and other teams onstrategic determinations andmatters requiring cross-disciplinary analyses.Coordinatetrainingand drive privacy literacy across supported functionsActively contribute to Alexion / AstraZeneca Privacy network initiatives and activitiesContribute toother AZ(non-Privacy)datastandardcomplianceprogramsYou will need to have:Education:Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.Experience:Minimum of5+ years in data governance, compliance, and privacy, in pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors, with provenexpertiseinglobaldata privacy regulations.Technical Skills: Strong understanding ofprivacy by designand artificial intelligence.Initiative:Demonstratedability toidentifyissuesin a business environment,and proactively address themCommercial awareness:track recordin providing pragmatic, commercially soundadviceCommunication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team andfast pacedenvironment.Date Posted11-feb-**Closing Date27-feb-Alexion is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
