Experteer Overview As part of the Advanced Product Development team, you will help design the surgical robotic systems of the future. You’ll develop teleoperation, motion control, and safety algorithms for the daVinci product line, collaborating across electrical, mechanical, software, and safety disciplines. Your work influences device performance, risk management, and clinical validation in a high-impact medical environment. This role offers the chance to shape next-generation robotics while working with cross-functional experts on meaningful healthcare challenges. Compensation / Benefits * Contribute to developing new robotic systems through analysis and characterization * Analyze electro-mechanical devices for dynamic safety and clinical risk * Apply control theory to design and verify mechatronic and tele-robotic systems * Integrate prototype hardware with existing systems * Develop motion control and safety algorithms with risk, requirements, and test protocol documentation * Develop cartesian controls for precise robotic movements * Participate in clinical observations to ensure realistic performance requirements * Communicate system performance across the organization * Support system performance tracking from design to manufacturing * Provide analytical support and tool-building for engineering issues * Interface between technical specialties and own cross-disciplinary ownership of issues * Document and communicate intellectual property Tasks * MS in CS, ME, EE or similar (4-5+ years industrial) or PhD (1-3+ years) * Experience designing and implementing servo control systems * Strong embedded development skills with C and modern C++ * MATLAB and Python programming plus hardware/software integration * Detail-oriented with ability to drive a solution to completion * Familiar with design input/output, traceability, and risk analysis * Hands-on engineering experience and teamwork ability * Self-motivated and proactive in cross-disciplinary collaboration * Desire to deliver innovative product improving lives Key requirements * market-competitive compensation * base pay * incentives * benefits * equity
