IBM Mainframe System Programming Z/OS Storage Technologies

Job description

  • Performs daily mainframe storage operations using z/OS tools to optimize SMS/DASD utilization, verify HSM/DLM health and space, audit volumes/datasets across both plexes, and submit CRs/incidents as needed to maintain reliability.
  • Produces required compliance/capacity reporting (SCRT/SMF), verifies reclaim/housekeeping automation, and completes operational work such as disk initialization, tape consolidations, and maintenance of core storage software (DLM, Solutions Enabler, GDDR, TapeCopy, Unisphere).
  • Executes DR activation/teardown activities, coordinates Dell hardware patching/upgrades, and monitors PowerMax/DLM/Data Domain health and certificates at both Eagan and San Mateo.

Requirements

  • EMC/Dell storage administration experience within the past five years.
  • IBM Mainframe systems programming and administration experience within the past five years.
  • Strong experience with DT storage.
  • DLM experience is required.
