At Urban Sports Club our aim is to create a world where everyone enjoys doing sports and we are ambitious in our plans to grow and cater to a wider user audience.Foundation Engineering is at the heart of this vision, delivering customer value by taking on the opportunities in tech to address, design and deliver on the future of tech in the business and personalise the experience of multi million customers in the near future. You will be responsible for helping us execute our Tech vision, that includes taking on opportunities such as designing our next generation systems such as search, authentication, and such enterprise wide themes as well as scaling our system to accommodate massive user growth.This position can be based in Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia(in office-attendance is expected in the Valencia office ca. 3 days per month).What you will doEnsure the productivity and resilience of our infrastructure, including monitoring and observability of our servicesWork on standardizing processes and building automation for data pipeline onboarding, deployment, scheduling, failure recovery, and other aspects of operating our platformWork closely with the SRE team to ensure developer productivity and CI/CD adoption within the Data Platform teamCraft and operate the services, infrastructure, and tools that make up our platform to enable the execution of batch and streaming pipelines running on Kubernetes and GCPWork hands-on on topics as part of a closely knit teamSolution architect and deliver company-wide technical topics with a forward-looking vision that aligns technology and business with our multi-year roadmapWhat you will need to succeedYou have gained 5+ years of experience in backend developmentYou have experience in development, administration, operation, and troubleshooting of sophisticated, large-scale systems running on KubernetesYou are experienced with Go and you are a strong practitioner of system design, architecture, and development best practicesYou break down challenges into modular, scalable solutions and can bridge the gap between technology and businessYou have a strong analytical mindset and a genuine curiosity to experiment and test changes.
