Agile Methodology Artificial Intelligence Software as a Service Cursor (Graphical User Interface Elements) Design of User Interfaces Web Applications Figma

Job description

The Agile Monkeys We’re a boutique AI firm building production AI systems for regulated industries - insurance, banking, healthcare, legal - for clients across the US, Latam, Europe and the GCC.We also build and scale our own AI-native products through our Venture Builder.AI isn’t a layer we add on top; it’s how we work and what we ship. The role You’d own product design on a project most designers would need weeks just to understand - you’d need days.No design lead between you and the decision.Just you, the technical and business leads, and a problem worth solving properly.AI runs through how the team works - research, prototyping, handoff, all of it - and part of the job is deciding where it earns its place and where it just gets in the way.Remote, with occasional travel when a project or a team actually calls for it.English is the working language, every day - so this only works if you can think in it, not just survive a call in it.What the work actually looks like: You get a technically complex, half-formed problem, and you’re the one who turns it into a flow that makes sense.Sometimes that means telling a stakeholder their ask isn’t the real problem - and having a better one ready. You design the real thing: desktop, web app, SaaS interfaces - not another landing page.Branding lands on your desk too: palettes, illustration, keeping the whole product visually honest. You prototype fast with AI tools - v0, Cursor, Figma Make or whatever gets you there - and you’re just as quick to know when they’re the wrong tool for the job.You present decisions to people who build the product and people who fund it, and you don’t fold the first time someone pushes back.Who this is for This role rewards range, not just polish. If you’ve only ever worked from a finished spec, or you need a formal process before you’ll touch a decision, this will feel uncomfortable - and it should. It’s built for someone who’s already comfortable owning the mess. You’ll fit if: Your product instincts and your visual taste are both strong - not one carrying the other. You’ve untangled a genuinely complex, technical product before, not just a marketing site.AI is already part of how you work, not something you’re meaning to try.You organize your own time, your own priorities, your own reporting - nobody’s chasing you.Ambiguity and half-finished information don’t throw you off your stride. You can hold your own in a room full of engineers, in fluent English, without over-explaining or backing down.Good to have, not required SaaS or dashboard experience.Design systems you’ve built from scratch. Some real branding work - logos, palettes, illustration.Experience mentoring other designers. On your portfolio Skip the “everything I’ve ever shipped” deck. Two or three pieces, well chosen, tell us more: one complex web app or SaaS project that shows how you handle real complexity, one you’re genuinely proud of visually, and anything else that represents how you actually think. If this sounds like the job you’ve been trying to talk your way into somewhere else - this is that job.Let’s talk!
