Job description
Experteer Overview As an Associate Database Administrator on the SysOps team, you will support the firm’s database services, impacting asset growth and risk management. You will install, configure, monitor, and optimize database environments, collaborating with developers and operations to ensure security, availability, and performance. You will design automated processes with T-SQL, PowerShell, and SSIS, and contribute to runbooks and knowledge sharing. The role offers exposure to enterprise-scale data infrastructure and a culture of continuous learning. Compensation / Benefits * Install, configure, and maintain database servers and processes with a focus on security, performance, availability, and resilience * Design, develop, implement, and maintain processes using T-SQL, PowerShell, and SSIS * Define and implement data access controls and monitoring * Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement * Be proactive in identifying areas for improvement * Handle incident, problem, and change requests through enterprise ticketing systems per established processes * Document procedures, runbooks, and technical knowledge; share best practices and support continuous learning * Provide off-hours support, including weekends/holidays, on a rotation Tasks * Minimum 3 years of experience in MS SQL or Postgres * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information System * Proficient in supporting production database services per defined service levels * Knowledgeable in Database Administration with focus on data cleanup, transformation, architecture, and automation * Proficient in writing and optimizing T-SQL queries * Proficiency in SQL with experience in SQL Server and PostgreSQL * Knowledge of HA, clustering, mirroring, and replication * Experience in database migration, troubleshooting and issue resolution * Good understanding of database performance monitoring and tuning * Experience working in Linux and Windows environments Key requirements * health coverage * 401(k) matching * annual profit sharing * paid parental leave * generous time off * tuition and certification reimbursement
