Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, develop, and deploy safety-critical self-driving middleware, enabling core autonomous features. You’ll work across Linux and RTOS environments within a distributed, heterogeneous hardware landscape, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring middleware from design through deployment. You’ll shape architecture decisions, tooling, and testing to ensure robust, reliable software. This position offers hands-on impact in a mission-driven company focused on safe, scalable autonomous mobility. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and deploy software within hardware abstraction middleware for safety-critical features * Develop software on Linux and real-time OS (QNX, FreeRTOS, etc.) * Work on distributed, heterogeneous systems with multiple processors/hardware engines * Create tools to support development, debugging, and testing * Support software design, code reviews, and technical guidance for other engineers * Analyze requirements, architecture, design, development, QA, and deployment across the software lifecycle * Coordinate with application teams to enable middleware integration Tasks * B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * 8+ years of production-grade software development from requirements gathering * Strong C++ programming skills * Experience with scripting (Bash, Lua, Python) * Automotive or robotics software development experience * Experience on x86_64 and ARM architectures * Experience with heterogeneous systems and hardware accelerators (GPU, ISP, Encoder) * Experience using/building libraries for accelerators (CUDA, TensorRT, OpenCL) * Experience contributing to middleware or abstraction layers * Familiarity with OpenCV/OpenVX or related acceleration frameworks * Experience with software tooling for code generation, test automation, fault injection * Good teamwork and communication for cross-functional environments * Lifecycle experience from requirements to maintenance Key requirements *
