Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications and internal tools using C# and .NET.
  • Work on software that communicates with and supports our hardware products.
  • Improve the architecture, reliability, performance, and maintainability of existing systems.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Participate in technical decisions and software design.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Contribute to internal infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, and other DevOps-related tasks when required.
  • Occasionally contribute to backend services or web-based internal tools.
  • Collaborate with the hardware and embedded development teams to diagnose and solve issues across the complete system.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced software developer with strong C# and .NET skills to join our team.

The successful candidate will work primarily on desktop applications, internal tools, device-related software, and backend systems used across the company. This is a hands-on technical role with significant autonomy and direct involvement in the architecture, implementation, testing, and long-term maintenance of our software.

This position is intended for someone who is already a capable developer. Professional experience is highly valued, but demonstrable technical ability, sound engineering judgement, and the ability to produce reliable, maintainable code are essential., * Strong practical knowledge of C# and the .NET ecosystem.

  • Proven ability to design and develop non-trivial software applications.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, debugging, and code quality.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical problems.
  • Ability to understand an existing codebase and improve it safely.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate English or higher. No formal certificate is required.
  • Availability to start within approximately one to two months.

Major Advantages

Experience with C and embedded systems is a significant advantage for this position. We are especially interested in developers who can understand and work across the boundary between desktop software, firmware, electronics, and physical devices.

Highly valued experience includes:

  • Development in C, particularly for embedded systems or microcontrollers.
  • Embedded firmware development and debugging.
  • Communication between desktop applications and embedded devices.
  • Serial, USB, Bluetooth, radio, or other hardware communication protocols.
  • Real-time, resource-constrained, or low-level software systems.
  • Reading datasheets, debugging hardware-software integration issues, and working with development boards or test equipment.
  • Experience with RTOS-based systems.
  • Understanding of electronics and common embedded interfaces such as I²C, SPI, UART, or GPIO.
  • Multithreading, networking, hardware communication, or real-time systems.
  • DevOps, server management, application deployment, service monitoring, or infrastructure support.
  • Automated testing and continuous integration.
  • Algorithms, mathematics, signal processing, control systems, or system stability.
  • Video games, virtual reality, robotics, tracking systems, or positioning technologies.
  • Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a strong technical portfolio.
  • A maker mindset: building, testing, learning from failures, and iterating quickly.
  • Driving licence and access to a car.

Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue is considered a minor advantage, but is not necessary for the position.

Benefits & conditions

  • A small, young, highly technical team with significant autonomy.
  • Direct influence over technical decisions and product development.
  • Opportunities to work across desktop software, firmware, hardware, and product development.
  • Access to our own laboratory, development tools, 3D printers, prototypes, and testing equipment.
  • The possibility of partial remote work in the future when compatible with the responsibilities of the role.
  • A competitive salary range, 30000 EUR - 60000 EUR per year.
  • Salary reviews linked to responsibility, performance, and impact.
