Software Development Engineer II - Threat Intelligence Systems, ACTI Engineering

Experteer Overview As a Software Development Engineer in ACTI Engineering, you will design and build mission-critical distributed systems that power Amazon’s threat intelligence capabilities. You’ll influence platform architecture, scale data processing, and shape threat detection and response at global scale. You’ll work with threat analysts and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust, production-grade solutions. This role offers the chance to build some of the largest-scale intelligence tooling and advance Amazon’s security posture. Compensation / Benefits * Own and architect critical components of ACTI’s threat intelligence platforms to improve scalability, performance, and reliability * Design and implement distributed systems processing petabytes of security data * Lead service-oriented architectures integrating complex threat intelligence workflows * Drive decisions on data modeling, storage solutions, and processing frameworks * Own the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and operational excellence * Mentor junior engineers on system design, coding practices, and architectural patterns * Collaborate with threat intelligence analysts to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions * Build large-scale intelligence tooling to defend against evolving security threats * Participate in production incidents and on-call rotation Tasks * 3+ years of non-internship software development experience * 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new/existing systems * 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications/tools/services * 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience * Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Key requirements * Health insurance * 401(k) matching * Paid time off * Parental leave * RSUs * Sign-on payments
