Primary Skills THIS IS HYBRID ONSITE IN EITHER JERSEY CITY, NJ OR COPPELL, TEXAS MUST GO ONSITE 3 DAYS PER WEEK This is a contract to hire role, please submit only candidates who can covert full time after 6-12 months This is a contract to hire role, and the client does not provide any form of visa sponsorship To qualify, candidates must be eligible to work in US without sponsorship now or in futureLooking for 5-8 years of full stack java developer This is 70% backend role, 30% front end Looking for someone with latest version of React on the backend and Angular front end, This is mostly a back-end role but must have both Strong full stack devBackend heavy Overall Experience & MindsetEarly-career to developing engineer with ~5-8 years of hands-on experience in full-stack application developmentDemonstrates strong fun, willingness to learn DTCC standards, and the ability to grow with guidance from senior engineersComfortable working in Agile teams, taking ownership of assigned stories and tasksAI tool exposure like Github copilot is a plus but not requiredTechnical ExpectationsBackend Development (Primary)Solid understanding of Java and Spring Boot fundamentalsExperience building or modifying , Configuration, logging)Familiarity with messaging concepts (Kafka/JMS) is a plus, but deep expertise is not required at this levelUses structured logging and understands basic error handlingFrontend DevelopmentWorking knowledge of Angular or React (components, Services, state basics)Ability to build simple UI features and integrate them with backend APIsUnderstanding of basic UI/UX principles and accessibility awareness (at least at a conceptual level)Database & SQLAbility to write basic to intermediate SQL queries, JOINsWHERE clausesGROUP BY / ORDER BYUnderstands relational database concepts (tables, indexes, primary/foreign keys)Development Practices & ToolsComfortable using an IDE (IntelliJ, VS Code, or Eclipse)Familiar with Git (branching, pull requests, resolving conflicts)Exposure to unit testing (JUnit / Jest or similar)Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflowsWillingness to follow DTCC engineering standards, security guidelines, and compliance requirements once onboardedCloud & Platform (Baseline Awareness)General familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or similar)High-level understanding of containers (Docker) and platform concepts (OpenShift/Kubernetes) is sufficientNo e, personal, or professional)Walk through code they have written There should be sample projects in their IDE and should be good enough to showcase his/her skills Answer basic Java, SQL, and frontend questions without relying on memorized answersShould be prepared for:Screen sharingDemonstrating problem-solving using an IDEDeep system design is not expected, but clarity of thought and fundamentals are required
