Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will bolster AFCENT NOSC operations by analyzing intrusion detection data, assessing vulnerabilities, and developing defenses. You will install and manage security devices, monitor logs, and help document sensor processes. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to identify and contain intrusive activities in a high-stakes environment. This position offers mission-critical impact and opportunities to shape defensive capabilities in a global network. You will operate in a 24/7 security operations context and support TDY and after-hours coverage. Compensation / Benefits * Analyze IDS/IPS data and vulnerability assessments * Develop methods to detect, contain and prevent intrusions * Install, configure, and manage AFCENT/USCENTCOM security devices (IDS/IPS, ESS/HBSS, forensic tools) * Assist in developing sensor processes and checklists * Analyze logs from firewalls, DNS, proxy, domain controllers, and file servers * Perform network security monitoring using security tools (IDS/IPS, firewall, proxy, router, Fidelis, Trellix, LogRhythm) * Write and develop custom scripts for cybersecurity toolsets * Provide LAN/WAN support Tasks * 3+ years in cyber security * Security+ certification * Network+ or CCNA certification * ITIL Foundations certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire * Firewall experience * Experience installing Microsoft Windows Server in host/compute environments * Experience with DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory * Willingness to work 24/7/365 and travel to CONUS for TDY * U.S. citizen with current Secret clearance Key requirements *
