Experteer Overview In this PLDL role, you lead the systems engineering discipline for a FAST Labs product line, driving technical strategy, staffing, and process improvements. You partner with product line leaders to shape bids, manage risk, and align resources with program goals. You will champion modern engineering practices and coordinate across PEMs, FMs, and BADLs to deliver high-impact, defense-focused solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as the senior systems engineering technical leader for a FAST Labs product line * Partner with product engineering management, functional managers, and discipline leads to staffing * Lead system engineering for new business capture, including baselines, scope, risks, and cost estimates * Participate in recruitment and competency reviews to align skills with product line needs * Ensure R&D activities follow appropriate processes and align with project scope * Promote and refine agile processes, capture lessons learned, and cultivate a One-Team culture * Support development of system engineering discipline and technology roadmaps * Encourage use of Model-Based Engineering, DevSecOps, Agile, and AI-powered tools Tasks * Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret, SAP, and SCI * Bachelor in Engineering with 10+ years of related experience, or Master with 8+ years, or PhD with 6+ years * Hands-on systems engineering experience across concept development, architecture, requirements, integration, and testing * Experience in leadership roles within systems engineering * Experience supporting business development, including proposals and cost/schedule estimates * Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams * Excellent written and verbal communication * Cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement Key requirements * health, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) savings plan * disability coverage * life and accident insurance * employee assistance program * paid time off and holidays
