Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of enterprise software implementations for a portfolio of strategic customers. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the implementation lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with customer business objectives. This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional program management skills, executive-level communication, and the ability to build long-term partnerships with key customer stakeholders. The successful candidate will collaborate across Professional Services, Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver complex software implementations while identifying opportunities for continued customer growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple strategic customer implementation programs from project initiation through successful deployment and transition to Customer Success.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Serve as the primary executive-level contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, executive steering committee meetings, status reviews, and milestone presentations.
  • Coordinate internal cross functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage change requests and ensure alignment between contractual commitments and project execution.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to support long-term customer success and expansion opportunities.
  • Lead post implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage AI enabled tools to improve project planning, communication, reporting, and delivery effectiveness., Candidates with experience supporting laboratory, scientific, life sciences, public health, or environmental testing organizations will be particularly well suited for this opportunity. Success in this Role Successful candidates will:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive project or program management experience.
  • Experience leading complex enterprise software implementation projects.
  • Strong customer facing consulting or Professional Services background.
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive level customer relationships.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in complex environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies., * Experience within laboratory informatics, scientific software, public health, life sciences, environmental testing, or related industries.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, PMI ACP, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working in a Professional Services or consulting organization.
  • Knowledge of regulated software environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise strategic accounts., The ideal candidate is a senior program management professional who combines exceptional customer relationship skills with a disciplined approach to project execution. They are comfortable working directly with executive leadership, managing complex customer implementations, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle.
