Oracle APEX Developer (Oracle APEX Migration & Data Modernization)

The primary responsibility of this role is to migrate legacy Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit (mod_plsql) applications to Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX) while implementing modern, secure, scalable, and HIPAA-compliant web applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle APEX, Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), JavaScript, and modern UI technologies.

Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 8+ years of Oracle application development experience. 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Application Express (APEX) development experience. Strong experience migrating legacy Oracle Forms or PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications to Oracle APEX. Extensive experience with Oracle Database 19c or higher. Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development. Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS). Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and database optimization. Strong experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web technologies. Experience implementing secure web applications handling sensitive PII and PHI data. Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare security standards, and secure coding practices. Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or other version control tools. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle APEX 22.x or higher. Experience implementing Oracle APEX Universal Theme customization. Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Experience with Oracle Database security features including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Data Redaction, Virtual Private Database (VPD), and Database Vault.
