Staff Backend Server Engineer

You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you will do:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Clover’s business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

• 8+ years of experience in software development
• 6+ years of Deep Java Development
• 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot
• 4+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services
• 3+ years of experience in SQL databases
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
• 6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
• 1+ years of working with AI Platforms

What would be great to have:

• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience with AI Platforms
