Network Architect

Piper Companies is seeking a Network Architect to join a leading defense and government services organization supporting mission-critical enterprise network environments. The Network Architect role is ideal for an experienced cleared professional with deep expertise in enterprise networking, automation, and data center technologies. The Network Architect is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to sit onsite 5 days per week in Fort Meade, MD., * Design, architect, and optimize complex enterprise-level network infrastructure solutions within secure environments.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic guidance, architecture recommendations, and network modernization solutions.
• Develop and implement network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, and related technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Lead technical design reviews, collaborate with engineering teams, and mentor network engineers on architectural best practices., Network Architect, TS/SCI, Fort Meade, Maryland, CCIE, CCNP Data Center, Enterprise Networking, Network Architecture, Cisco, Data Center Networking, Python, Ansible, Network Automation, Trusted Advisor, Technical Leadership, Consulting, Infrastructure Design, Enterprise Infrastructure, Security Clearance, Mentorship, Defense, Government Services

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, architecture, or a related discipline supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
• CCIE certification required; CCNP Data Center certification will also be considered.
• Hands-on experience with network automation tools and scripting languages, including Python and Ansible.
• Strong expertise in network architecture, enterprise design, data center networking, and client-facing consulting.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

• Salary range: $170,000 - $200,000
