Core Responsibilities & Deliverables: Esker AP Automation project: Own Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) management and support enhancements. SAP Upgrade project Support: Provide technical support, code remediation, and assistance with ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and PRIME+ analysis. SAP Production Support: Partner with the AMS team to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve critical production issues (Primarily S4HANA + ECC platforms) Technical Skills (Current Project Needs) Core ABAP: Object-Oriented (OO) ABAP, BAPIs, RFCs, modern ABAP syntax, and custom enhancements in an S4HANA environment. Integration: Extensive experience with IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, OData services, and SAP Web Services. Extensibility: Expertise in extending standard BAPIs, BAdIs, workflows, CDS views, and AMDP. Hands-on experience with In-App and Key User Extensibility (custom fields, custom logic, UI adaptations, and logic apps) to minimize custom backend code. On-stack development using RAP and side-by-side cloud development on BTP using CAP (Node.js).

Requirements

In ECC, ABAP is more traditional and application-server heavy. The database mostly stores data, while ABAP code does much of the processing. In HANA / S/4HANA, ABAP is written to push logic down to the database because HANA is an in-memory database designed for speed and advanced processing. Key HANA/S/4 ABAP skills to validate The ideal candidate must immediately stabilize the current landscape, manage daily operations, and lead the S/4HANA projects using SAP BTP and Fiori. Understanding of SAP Joule and the Generative AI Hub on BTP for automated business processes. Strong understanding of how the ABAP backend serves data to Fiori Launchpad and Fiori Elements. Expertise in SAPUI5 development, JavaScript, and MVC architecture for custom web applications. Proven experience with UI annotations in CDS views and building OData services. Hands-on experience with SAP Build, Build Process Automation, and Build Work Zone. Experience with:
