Job description

The SAP Product MDM Technical Consultant is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and governance of Article Master Data within SAP S/4 Retail environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP S/4 Article structures, Master Data Management (MDM) tools, workflow design, and enterprise application architecture. The consultant will translate business requirements into actionable technical designs, guide development teams, ensure data integrity across systems, and support master-data related project workstreams., * Apply advanced knowledge of SAP S/4 Retail Article structure, including article types, characteristics, number ranges, distribution chains, site data, and reference articles

  • Design and configure Article Master setup and related workflows in MDM tools, ensuring alignment with industry practices and enterprise data governance
  • Conduct translation of business area customer information into detailed enterprise application design deliverables
  • Interact with consultants, SMEs, and client team members to analyze functional and technical alternatives and provide recommendations
  • Develop programming specifications, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for enterprise application modifications or installations
  • Support and guide data conversion, functional design, mapping, and readiness activities
  • Manage budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning responsibilities for the technical MDM workstream
  • May lead, mentor, and train junior team members, fostering capability growth and technical excellence

Requirements

  • 4+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience
  • Experience with SAP Retail Article Master architecture and configuration
  • Hands-on MDM experience designing article workflows and master-data governance models
  • Demonstrated experience preparing technical specifications, logic diagrams, and workflow documentation

Nice to have:

  • SAP implementation and configuration experience
  • Leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Eligibility requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a client Public Trust government clearance
