Application Engineer in Farmington

• Multiple years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing, with strong knowledge of robotic bending and automated production. \n

• Experience in programming and operating industrial robots (FANUC ) is a plus. \n

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems, bending machine programming, and general machine tool operation. \n

• Understanding of manufacturing technologies and production software systems. \n

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-facing experience required. \n

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly; willingness to operate forklifts and overhead cranes. \n

• Conduct best in class customer product and production flow demonstrations and attend trade shows to increase product sales with a focus on automated bending machines \n

• Provide customer application & sales support utilizing TRUMPF digital solutions both virtually and on-site \n

• Perform feasibility analyses, time studies, and produce sample parts for customer evaluation. \n

• Continuously excel the technology knowledge by participating in training and testing functions of the machine \n

• Support machine startups and provide hands-on production assistance post-installation. \n

• Be responsible for the assigned technology in the production showroom environment \n

• Organize and provide customer product training courses with a focus on programming and operating equipment \n

• Consult and demonstrate latest machine technology related solutions for Industry 4.0. Utilization of all hardware / software / services that pertain to the technology to become a expert / go to person for the technology \n

• Collaborate with product centers and other TRUMPF subsidiaries to provide feedback on product development / improvement ideas for existing or new products in the field of bending technology \n

• Assist with new machine introductions through testing and early customer support. \n

• Travel estimate is 30% as average, with focus in USA, Mexico and Canada \n
