Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team on a contract basis. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web and mobile applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate has strong experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks, executing manual testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. This is a hands-on role where test automation is a core responsibility-not simply executing existing scripts. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive manual testing of web and mobile applications to validate functionality, usability, and overall quality.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain scalable automated end-to-end test suites using Selenium and Playwright.
• Develop and execute automated API and database testing strategies.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks rather than simply executing existing tests.
• Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using Azure DevOps.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new functionality does not negatively impact existing features.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and both onshore and offshore QA team members to ensure complete test coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Review user stories, functional requirements, and technical specifications to ensure testability and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work with development teams to continuously improve software quality and testing processes.

• Proven experience as a QA Tester supporting both web and mobile applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with manual testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.
• Experience automating API and database testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile development practices.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java or TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for test management, defect tracking, and Agile project management.
• Experience writing SQL queries and validating data in SQL Server databases.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within continuous integration environments.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps source control.
• Previous experience working with distributed or offshore development teams.
