Job description

Experteer Overview You will lead planning, execution, and analysis of tests for autonomous sUAS platforms supporting defense missions. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you validate autonomy, performance, and mission readiness through lab and field evaluations and customer demonstrations. You’ll shape test strategies, analyze complex behaviors, and support flight test operations, bridging development to mission deployment. Compensation / Benefits * Lead development and execution of test plans and verification activities for autonomous sUAS systems and payloads * Design and conduct lab, simulation, integration, environmental, and field tests * Evaluate system performance against requirements and customer objectives * Establish traceability between requirements and validation results * Identify risks and propose mitigation across the development lifecycle * Validate autonomous capabilities such as GPS-denied navigation, waypoint navigation, obstacle avoidance, and swarm behaviors * Support flight test operations, readiness reviews, and data QA * Develop and maintain automated test tools, data analysis scripts, and HIL/SIL environments * Collaborate with software, RF, cybersecurity, autonomy, and hardware teams; mentor junior engineers * Interface with government customers and program stakeholders regarding objectives and results * Ensure compliance with military, FAA, cybersecurity, and safety requirements; maintain documentation and support certifications Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field * 5+ years in test engineering, systems integration, aerospace, robotics, or autonomy * Experience developing and executing verification/validation strategies for complex systems * Python, C++, MATLAB or similar * Experience analyzing telemetry, sensor, and performance data * Familiarity with systems engineering processes and documentation * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills * Ability to travel for testing and demonstrations * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance Key requirements * flexible hybrid work model * 60% in-office / 40% remote * compressed work schedule with every other Friday off * paid time off * medical, dental, vision coverage * 401(k) with company match and employee contributions
