Senior Application Engineer / Software / OEM / Customer-facing

Experteer Overview In this role you will serve as the technical bridge between internal engineering teams and OEM partners, owning software and firmware integration from design to deployment. You will work on embedded Linux-based software stacks across hardware platforms, driving integration, validation, and automation. You’ll collaborate with hardware/software partners to resolve complex issues and build scalable integration processes. This position offers impact through cross-platform integration and deep involvement with embedded systems in a fully remote environment. Compensation / Benefits * Define software integration requirements with OEM teams and map technical solutions * Adapt and integrate embedded software stacks across hardware platforms * Develop and modify OS-level components, including Linux BSPs and drivers * Debug complex integration issues using embedded tools, debuggers, tracing, and profiling * Lead design reviews and troubleshooting with engineering partners * Own end-to-end integration from kickoff to deployment and validation * Build validation frameworks, test plans, and configuration tooling * Create automation to improve testing, deployment, and system validation * Collaborate with core teams to convert partner feedback into product improvements * Track progress, risks, and challenges and drive solutions independently Tasks * 6+ years of hands-on embedded software and firmware development * Strong embedded Linux experience including BSP bring-up, driver development, and kernel debugging * Proficiency in C or C++ for embedded development * Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for automation * Experience with embedded development tools (JTAG, GDB, tracing, profiling) * Experience integrating software across multiple hardware platforms or OEM environments * Strong system-level troubleshooting and hardware/software interaction knowledge * Effective communication of technical concepts with engineering teams and external partners * Ability to own complex problems from investigation to resolution Key requirements *
