As a Software Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers, scientists, and product teams to develop applications and digital solutions that support research and development. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are passionate about technology, enjoy solving complex problems, and are eager to learn new tools and approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support scientific research and business operations.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, scientists, and product teams to deliver solutions that address real-world challenges.
  • Learn and apply modern technologies such as cloud platforms, AI-assisted development tools, web frameworks, and data platforms.
  • Contribute to applications built using technologies such as AWS, React, Python, Databricks, Power Platform, GitHub, and SharePoint.
  • Support the adoption of AI-enabled solutions and explore emerging technologies that can create business value.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Document solutions and share knowledge with team members.
  • Contribute to Agile product teams through planning, development, and delivery activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience., * Understanding of software development fundamentals, including programming, testing, debugging, and version control.

  • Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Experience through coursework, internships, co-op programs, research projects, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
  • Exposure to one or more of the following technologies: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, AWS, Azure, Databricks, GitHub, or Power Platform.
  • Interest in AI, data analytics, cloud computing, or scientific computing.
  • Background or interest in life sciences, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, or related scientific disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.

The salary range for this role is

$87,300.00 - $137,400.00
