You will integrate security into infrastructure, platforms, and mission applications, enabling end-to-end zero-trust capabilities. You will collaborate across software, IT, DevOps, and hardware teams to modernize RMF and vulnerability remediation while supporting continuous delivery. This position combines hands-on cyber engineering with automation to harden and scale critical software assets. The opportunity offers meaningful impact on national security and exposure to cutting-edge cyber defense technology. Compensation / Benefits * Automate cybersecurity architecture within infrastructure as code (IaC) for on-prem and distributed platforms with end-to-end zero-trust * Engineer security controls into IaC, PaaS, and mission applications for IAM, encryption, logging, and monitoring compliance * Streamline hardening of IaC, PaaS, and mission apps using STIG/SRGs, CIS benchmarks, and best practices * Support secure deployments of containerized platforms and mission applications * Coordinate and engineer cybersecurity tools pipeline integration and automate outputs into dashboards * Automate RMF security control implementation into IaC, PaaS, and mission applications for continuous delivery and evidence generation * Modernize vulnerability remediation and improve system resiliency and update responsiveness * Write Ansible playbooks and scripts and review cyber engineer and software developer code commits * Ensure end-to-end patch management, SBOM, RBOM, and artifact generation * Collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve security posture across the SDLC Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in relevant field * 7+ years in cyber engineering with at least 5 years in modern software technologies * Proven Kubernetes security and modular architectures, enterprise architecture, secure SDLC, and cloud-native security * Deep knowledge of cyber engineering toolsets (SIEM, SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability monitoring) * Hands-on experience with Zero Trust tools, micro-segmentation, identity-centric security * IaC, PaaS, and mission app knowledge including automate RMF and telemetry pipelines * Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain Polygraph * Sec+ and/or CISSP or ability to obtain within 90 days * Experience with scripting languages and Ansible playbooks; ArgoCD integration * Linux/Windows/Kubernetes security concepts and network protocol familiarity Key requirements * flexible time off * robust learning resources * healthcare * retirement plan * family support * continuing education
