Job description
Experteer Overview As a Middleware System Administrator/DevOps Engineer, you will manage and optimize JBoss EAP environments across multiple stages, integrating Azure DevOps for automated deployments. You’ll lead clustering, patching, tuning, and incident support while shaping CI/CD pipelines and release processes. This role sits at the crossroads of middleware operations and deployment automation, enabling reliable, scalable enterprise applications. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to improve performance and ensure smooth production readiness. Compensation / Benefits * Install, configure, and administer JBoss EAP across dev, QA, staging, and prod * Configure JBoss clustering, failover, and high-availability setups * Manage Azure DevOps integrations for automated deployments * Configure Azure Pipelines, CI/CD, release automation, and artifact management * Deploy WAR/EAR applications using JBoss GUI/CLI * Perform rolling deployments and post-deployment validation * Develop deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and operational docs * Middleware administration, monitoring, and incident management * Troubleshoot authentication/authorization and middleware issues * Plan JBoss upgrades, patching, and configuration management * JVM tuning, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis * Develop Shell/Bash scripts for automation * Monitor utilization and perform capacity planning * Collaborate with infra, networking, security, and app teams * Maintain technical documentation and provide operational guidance Tasks * Strong JBoss EAP 7.x/8.x administration * Experience with Azure DevOps * JBoss Standalone and Domain Mode administration * JBoss clustering and failover * Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline administration * Azure Repos, branching strategies, PRs, and branch policies * Azure Pipelines, release automation, and artifact management * Application deployment using JBoss GUI and CLI * JVM tuning and performance optimization * Middleware troubleshooting and incident management * Shell/Bash scripting * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills Key requirements * Health Insurance with Dental & Vision * 401K Plan * Life Insurance, STD & LTD * Paid Vacations & Holidays * Continuous Skill Based Development and Career Advancement Opportunities
