  • Integration Engineering: Partner with client IT, payment gateway, and ERP teams to architect and validate REST/SOAP API connections, webhooks, and secure transaction flows for SnapPay and BillMatrix.

  • Pipeline & Process Engineering: Build end-to-end automation test suites and CI/CD validation pipelines to test merchant configurations, state management, and asynchronous transaction flows prior to production go-live.

  • Codebase & System Maintenance: Maintain implementation tooling repositories, conduct peer code reviews, and optimize backend scripts for reliability and performance.

  • Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex integration failures, API mismatches, and data payload anomalies during client implementations, conducting root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • Core Engineering Background: 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with a strong foundation in building integration tools, automation frameworks, or backend microservices.

  • Automation & Asynchronous Workflows: 3+ years of experience engineering automated workflows, handling state management, multi-threading, and asynchronous event processing.

  • Database & SQL Proficiency: 3+ years of experience writing, optimizing, and debugging SQL queries across relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).

  • Cloud & CI/CD Ecosystems: Practical experience building and deploying tools in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) utilizing Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience That Would Be Great to Have

  • Applied AI/LLM Engineering: Experience integrating Generative AI services (OpenAI APIs, Claude, LangChain, or custom prompt pipelines) to automate document parsing, code generation, or data mapping.

  • Payments & B2B Domain Knowledge: Understanding of payment lifecycles (authorization, settlement, tokenization, PCI-DSS compliance, and gateway messaging).

  • ERP & Enterprise Systems: Exposure to enterprise systems or ERP data structures (SAP ECC/S4HANA, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards).

  • Advanced Scripting: Strong Linux/Unix shell scripting skills for system-level task automation.
