Job description

Design, build, and maintain Terraform and Ansible automation across network, storage, virtualization, and OS platforms

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows to support automated testing, validation, and

deployment of infrastructure changes

Convert manual infrastructure configuration and change processes into repeatable, version-controlled automation

Collaborate with network, storage, virtualization, systems, and security teams to validate & test processes that are being Automated.

Troubleshoot automation failures and configuration drift across ACI, Nexus, routing, F5, Palo Alto, NetApp, DNS,

VMware, Linux, and Windows platforms

Contribute to and maintain team documentation, including automation runbooks, module documentation, and standard operating procedures

Participate in change management processes, including occasional night and weekend maintenance windows

Participate in an on-call rotation to support automation tooling and pipeline issues.

The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure engineering fundamentals with hands-on automation development experience and can operate independently in complex, multi-platform environments. Required Automation Experience:

Terraform Advanced experience writing and maintaining Terraform modules and providers to manage infrastructure as code.

Ansible Advanced experience building and maintaining Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for infrastructure configuration management and automation.

GitHub Experience managing infrastructure-as-code repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub. Platform Automation Experience (Some or All Required):

Candidates should have direct experience automating configuration and change management for one or more of the following

platforms:

Cisco ACI Fabric, tenant, and policy automation via Terraform/Ansible and the ACI API

F5 Load Balancers (LTM only) Automated virtual server, pool, and profile provisioning via Terraform/Ansible modules and the F5 API

Palo Alto Firewalls Automated security policy, zone, and rule management via Terraform/Ansible modules and the Palo Alto API

NetApp Storage Automated storage provisioning, volume management, and configuration via Terraform/Ansible modules and the ONTAP API

DNS Automated zone, record, and configuration management for enterprise DNS platforms

VMware Automated VM provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management via Terraform/Ansible and the vSphere API

Linux Automated configuration management, patching, and provisioning for Linux server environments

Windows Automated configuration management, patching, and provisioning for Windows server environments Required Technical Skills:

Python Strong scripting and development experience for building and maintaining automation tooling and modules

Infrastructure as Code Methodologies Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles, including

idempotency, state management, and modular design

GitHub Actions Experience building and maintaining automated workflows using GitHub Actions

CI/CD & Pipelines Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing,

validation, and deployment., 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience across networking, systems, storage, or virtualization domains

3+ years of hands-on experience building production automation using Terraform and Ansible

Demonstrated experience automating one or more of: Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus, Cisco routing, F5 LTM, Palo Alto

firewalls, NetApp storage, DNS, VMware, Linux, or Windows

Strong experience with GitHub repository management, branching strategies, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines

Strong Python scripting and development skills

Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code methodologies and best practices

Experience using AI-assisted development tools, with demonstrated discipline around planning, code ownership, and thorough testing of outcomes

Relevant vendor certifications a plus (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, NetApp, VMware)

Strong written communication skills and demonstrated ability to contribute to team documentation

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a near-shore/remote capacity

Availability to overlap with core business hours in Eastern Time (EST), minimum 5 hours per day

Willingness to support occasional night and weekend work, plus participation in an on-call rotation, Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
