SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Technical Lead

Experteer Overview In this hybrid role, you will lead the SAP BTP Center of Excellence to set standards, reference architectures, and governance for enterprise-scale BTP implementations. You will partner with EA and IT leadership to align BTP with modernization goals, while mentoring teams to build internal capability and reduce long-term vendor dependence. You’ll drive scalable, secure integrations and extensions for S/4HANA and ERP-related platforms. This position offers hands-on leadership with strategic shaping of Agilent’s BTP roadmap. Pay / Benefits * Establish and operationalize the SAP BTP COE with standards, patterns, governance, and delivery guardrails * Define BTP role in enterprise architecture, focusing on S/4HANA and adjacent platforms * Develop reference architectures and guardrails for extensions, integrations, workflow, eventing, data services, and AI-based solutions * Lead architecture and development for side-by-side extensions on BTP aligned with SAP clean core * Design compliant extension patterns to reduce core customizations and improve upgrade readiness * Provide end-to-end solution design and hands-on leadership across BTP services (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, Event Mesh, HANA Cloud) * Design and oversee SAP and non-SAP integrations using API-led, event-driven, and hybrid patterns * Mentor developers and architects, drive reusable assets, code quality, and issue resolution * Define enterprise integration and eventing patterns with SAP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, APIs, and asynchronous architecture * Govern development standards, DevOps, transport processes, environment management, and documentation Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field * 8+ years of SAP architecture, design, and development * 3+ years hands-on SAP BTP experience (3-4 years preferred) with core services: Integration Suite, Extension Suite, SAP Build, HANA Cloud, Event Mesh, security/identity concepts * Experience supporting S/4HANA transformation programs (brownfield or hybrid) * Solid understanding of clean core principles and SAP extensibility patterns for S/4HANA * Proven experience delivering SAP extensions and integrations for ERP/large SAP landscapes * Effective communication with executives and technical teams; ability to translate strategy into implementation direction Key requirements * bonus * stock * benefits * hybrid work arrangement * full-time role
