Job description

Experteer Overview You will lead and mentor the pricing function to elevate capability across Allianz UK’s large insurance portfolio. In this role, you shape pricing models, methods, and mindset to drive innovation and commercial impact. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to deliver robust technical deliveries and scalable insights, while developing junior team members. This hybrid role blends modelling excellence with stakeholder collaboration to support strategic pricing goals. Pay / Benefits * Deputise for the manager and support the development of junior team members * Lead the development, enhancement, and review of pricing models, including modelling plans, data preparation, model creation, and credibility overlays * Back-test and analyse model impact and propose pricing adjustments * Ensure projects align with business objectives and communicate technical deliveries to stakeholders to drive adoption * Drive pricing innovation and incorporate new data sources to generate insights * Share knowledge, skills, and best practices within the team Tasks * Solid knowledge of GLMs * Knowledge of GBMs (machine learning techniques) * Experience with large data sources * Advanced Excel, Python, SQL, Databricks or similar coding languages * Experience of WTW’s Radar and Emblem * Good understanding of technical pricing elements * Strong stakeholder management and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences * Ability to build and maintain relationships across Pricing and the wider business Key requirements * Hybrid working * Annual performance related bonus * Contributory pension scheme * Flexible buy/sell holiday options * Development days * Discounts on insurance products
