Job description
Experteer Overview As part of Citi’s Markets technology team, you will help build and scale an FX risk valuation platform serving traders, sales and external clients. You will work within a fast-growing, globally distributed environment to replace legacy risk applications with a new, cloud-enabled, in-memory architecture. You’ll design high-throughput Java microservices, optimize data grids, and implement real-time data pipelines to enable accurate pricing and risk analytics across multiple locations. Pay / Benefits * Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices for high-throughput applications * Integrate and optimize Apache Ignite-based in-memory data grid for FX trades processing * Implement real-time data ingestion and processing pipelines using Apache Kafka / Solace * Design and maintain robust MongoDB / Oracle data models and queries * Ensure scalability and reliability in cloud-hosted Linux environments * Collaborate with DevOps to containerize services and deploy via CI/CD * Perform performance tuning, code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues * Document system architecture, decisions, and development processes Tasks * Strong hands-on Core Java and multithreading in high-load systems * JVM performance optimization and memory profiling * Experience with distributed systems and in-memory computing concepts * Production experience with Apache Ignite * MongoDB expertise (CRUD, indexing, performance tuning) * Oracle SQL proficiency and query optimization * Proficiency with Apache Kafka / Solace messaging * Linux proficiency and scripting * Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure) * Experience with TDD and production release readiness * English level: B1 equivalent Key requirements * 27 days annual leave * Discretionary annual bonus * Private Medical Care & Life Insurance * Employee Assistance Program * Pension Plan * Paid Parental Leave
