Senior Backend Engineer

• Hiring for a Senior Backend Engineer to support AI initiatives and fill a gap in the backend team.

• Looking for 5-15 years of experience, focusing on skills over specific technologies., * Must have strong Python skills, API experience, and production-level backend work.
• Nice to have: experience with Clickhouse, Redshift, Snowflake, and DevOps skills.

Seniority:

• 5 - 15 years of experience Backend engineering experience with Python in production environments.

Work experience

• Shipped production APIs/services they personally built and owned (not just maintained large corporate systems)
• Worked at a startup or scaleup (30- 100 employees), not solely large corporates
• Built or deployed AI/LLM features into production (agentic workflows, RAG, tool use)

Hard skills:

• Expert- level Python with production API development (e. g. , FastAPI)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Experience with columnar DBs (ClickHouse, Redshift, Snowflake) or infrastructure/DevOps.

Miscellaneous

• Based in Europe (excl. France/Nordics); if in London, must work 5 days in- office.
