Senior DevOps Engineer (Salesforce)

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, implement and optimise Salesforce DevOps capabilities to support secure, scalable enterprise deployments at Ofgem. You’ll build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, champion automation, and ensure reliable delivery of Salesforce solutions in a governed cloud environment. You’ll collaborate with developers, architects, product teams and security specialists to drive consistency and quality across the software lifecycle. This is a pivotal part of Ofgem’s digital transformation, helping deliver resilient digital services that underpin the UK’s energy transition. You will influence delivery practices and mentor colleagues to raise capability across the organisation. Pay / Benefits * Design, build and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) * Implement and optimise automated testing and deployment via ADO Test Plans, BrowserStack and Playwright * Integrate code quality, security and compliance tooling (Salesforce Code Checker, SonarCloud) for high-quality releases * Collaborate with Salesforce developers, administrators, architects and product teams to deliver reliable DevOps solutions * Drive continuous improvement across DevOps tooling, processes and automation frameworks * Champion Infrastructure as Code, CI and Continuous Testing practices * Support resolution of complex deployment, release and service issues across Salesforce environments * Ensure Salesforce delivery aligns with governance and security standards * Contribute to communities of practice and mentor colleagues to build capability * Monitor and improve platform reliability, delivery velocity and operational performance Tasks * Significant experience delivering and supporting enterprise-scale DevOps tooling, infrastructure and deployment pipelines * Proven experience implementing and maintaining Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps * Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, automation, release management and cloud-based delivery * Experience integrating automated testing, quality assurance and code analysis tools (Code Checker, BrowserStack, Playwright, SonarCloud) * Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable automation and deployment solutions * Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and driving best-practice adoption * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex deployment issues * Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (or ability to obtain within 6 months) * Experience supporting Salesforce deployments in government/public/enterprise-scale environments is advantageous Key requirements * 30 days annual leave after 2 years * training and development opportunities * Civil Service pension package * hybrid working (1 day in office) * flexible working hours * family-friendly policies
