Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you will design and operate security solutions that protect Barclays’ systems and sensitive information. You’ll act as a subject matter expert on security engineering patterns, develop cryptographic and access-management solutions, and lead risk-based audits. You will collaborate across technology and security teams to align controls with policy and regulatory needs. This is a hands-on position with leadership expectations, focused on safeguarding critical assets at scale and advancing cryptographic technologies. Pay / Benefits * Provide subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns * Develop and implement protocols, algorithms, and software to protect data and systems * Manage and protect secrets securely * Conduct audits to identify vulnerabilities and support breach response * Identify advancements in cryptography to support innovation and adoption * Collaborate with developers and security teams to align cryptographic solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements * Develop/implement and maintain Identity and Access Management solutions * Lead teams or collaborative initiatives, set objectives, coach and manage performance * Communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders and influence outcomes * Engage in risk mitigation and policy/procedure development to strengthen controls Tasks * Microsoft Defender for Linux * Linux (RHEL) Administration * Proven experience using Ansible for automation of configuration, security controls, and processes * Microsoft Defender for Endpoint EPP (preferred) * CrowdStrike EPP (preferred) * Automation and observability (desirable) * Experience advising on security policy, risk, and governance2? * Knowledge of cryptographic technologies and techniques (as applicable) * Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage risk Key requirements *
