Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the Fixed Network Test Lab operations and capacity planning to enable testing and deployment of network services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, resilient lab environments across Bracknell and Watford, driving efficiency and reliable delivery. You will forecast demand, track KPIs, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance to support fast-moving telecom projects. This role offers impact by shaping how tests translate into real-world connectivity for customers. Pay / Benefits * Own day-to-day lab operations and long-term capacity planning for fixed network test lab infrastructure * Collaborate with internal customers to define space, power, cooling, and environmental needs * Analyse trends, forecast demand, identify capacity risks, and report KPIs for investment decisions * Design scalable, resilient lab infrastructure aligned with business goals * Oversee MAC activities ensuring quality and accurate infrastructure management * Serve as escalation point for lab issues and coordinate rapid resolutions * Support fault management to maintain service quality and minimize disruption * Champion health, safety, environmental and technical compliance * Foster cross-functional relationships to enable successful delivery Tasks * Strong experience in telecommunications, network infrastructure, or technical labs * Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making * Experience managing infrastructure capacity (power, cooling, environmental systems) * Knowledge of AC/DC power, batteries in telecom/data centre contexts * Experience designing infrastructure solutions balancing performance, resilience, cost * Stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration * Understanding of RF technologies and integration in network/lab environments * Hands-on fibre optic, installation, testing, fault diagnosis experience * Knowledge of Ethernet networking (Layer 1-3), configuration, troubleshooting * Experience with equipment installation, cabling, and physical infrastructure * Familiarity with infrastructure governance and installation standards * Relevant technical qualifications or certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, BS7671) or equivalent * Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities * Collaborative and inclusive mindset Key requirements * bonuses * up to 28 days off plus bank holidays * pension plan * personalisation of benefits * learning tools * parental leave policies
