Cloud Security Architect

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the design, implementation, and governance of secure cloud environments. You will drive cloud security strategy, IAM, security operations, and compliance, partnering with cross-functional teams to support enterprise cloud initiatives. You will shape secure cloud architectures across Azure and Microsoft technologies, establish governance standards, and oversee threat detection and incident response. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on scalable, compliant cloud security in a dynamic enterprise setting. Compensation / Benefits * Design and maintain secure cloud architecture across Azure and Microsoft cloud technologies * Develop and implement identity and access management strategies, including RBAC, privileged access, and authentication controls * Establish cloud security standards, governance, and best practices * Evaluate, implement, and optimize cloud security tools, monitoring, and threat detection capabilities * Partner with infrastructure, engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to integrate security into cloud solutions * Oversee security operations and third-party security service providers to ensure timely incident response and continuous improvement * Ensure cloud environments meet security, regulatory, and compliance requirements while mitigating risk * Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud security initiatives and emerging technologies Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field * 7 years of enterprise IT experience with 4 years focused on cloud security or security architecture * Experience securing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments * Strong knowledge of IAM, SIEM, cloud security technologies, and security operations * Familiarity with cloud security frameworks, compliance standards, and automation * Relevant cloud or cybersecurity certifications are a plus * Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Key requirements * discretionary bonuses * medical, dental, and vision benefits * 401(k) retirement plan * on-site in Jersey City, NJ * competitive salary range $130,000-$150,000
