Job description

Experteer Overview As a Staff Software Engineer at Epiroc, you will design and develop robotics-focused software, enhancing scalability, stability, and performance of our applications. You will mentor team members and collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust, distributed systems. You will steer the design of scalable APIs, concurrent programming, and real-time messaging, using C# and .NET. This role combines hands-on engineering with leadership in a fast-moving, safety-critical domain. You’ll contribute to innovative solutions that support sustainable mining and construction. Compensation / Benefits * Design and implement scalable, high-performance applications using C# and .NET * Architect robust solutions leveraging extensive C# experience * Optimize concurrent, multi-threaded, and asynchronous programming for high-throughput systems * Develop and enhance scalable APIs and 3rd-party integrations for enterprise use * Lead development, profiling, and optimization using MS Visual Studio or similar IDEs * Manage code with Git-based repositories (Bitbucket or GitHub) * Configure and maintain CI pipelines (TeamCity or Azure DevOps) * Design distributed systems with network programming (TCP/UDP/WebSockets/HTTP) * Lead UI development with WPF for complex desktop apps * Mentor Junior and Mid-Level Engineers, promote best practices * Identify and resolve complex performance bottlenecks and ensure code quality through reviews and testing Tasks * 10+ years of professional experience with C# and .NET on large-scale applications * Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or related field) * Expert in concurrent, multi-threaded, and asynchronous programming * Proven track record building highly scalable APIs and 3rd-party integrations * Advanced proficiency with Visual Studio or equivalent IDEs * Extensive experience with Git and repositories like Bitbucket or GitHub * Strong knowledge of CI servers such as TeamCity or Azure DevOps * Expert understanding of messaging protocols (TCP, UDP, WebSockets, HTTP) and real-time systems * Leadership skills to mentor peers and collaborate with stakeholders * Experience with WPF and desktop UI development * Experience with horizontal, vertical, and algorithmic scaling * Knowledge of relational and time-series databases Key requirements * Health care eligibility (medical, dental, vision, prescription, telemedicine) * Wellness program * Employee discounts * Disability and life insurance * FSAs and HSA * 401(k) plan
