Experteer Overview Join MITRE as a Senior Software Developer to contribute to software that supports national security and public interest. You will work in the Software Engineering Division, collaborating with experts to deliver high-quality solutions across domains. You will participate in full stack development, prototype tools for data transformations, and ensure integration with enterprise systems. This role emphasizes continuous learning, mentoring, and applying modern DevSecOps practices to mission-critical problems. The position offers hybrid work and opportunities to impact national challenges while growing your technical and leadership skills. Compensation / Benefits * Prototype tool development enabling data transformations for national security screening * Collaborate with enterprise system teams to incorporate prototype functionality * Engage in full software engineering lifecycle using modern technologies * Contribute to hands-on software design and development * Mentor and learn in a collaborative, cross-functional environment Tasks * Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a Master’s, or PhD with relevant experience * Experience developing software in Python * Working knowledge of software development practices and lifecycle, with exposure to DevSecOps * Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated security and testing practices * Experience with Git or related source control tools * Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work both independently and in a team * Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders to design solutions * Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance (or ability to obtain within one year) * U.S. citizenship required for security clearance Key requirements * competitive benefits * professional development opportunities * hybrid on-site work
