Job description

supporting documentation. * Utilize SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools to extract and manipulate data. * Identify trends and patterns in sales tax overpayments. * Assist in automating processes to improve data extraction and analysis efficiency. * Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients. Qualifications: * Availability: This is an in-office, onsite 5x per week position. * Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field. * 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, tax compliance, or financial analytics. * Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and data visualization tools (Tableau). * Experience with SQL, Python, or other data query languages is a plus. * Knowledge of sales tax regulations and exemptions is preferred but not required. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Compensation: $75,000

  • Analyze large datasets of purchase transactions to identify overpaid sales tax. * Reconcile tax amounts using tax rates, exemptions, and jurisdictional rules. * Work closely with tax consultants to prepare refund claims and supporting documentation. * Utilize SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools to extract and manipulate data. * Identify trends and patterns in sales tax overpayments. * Assist in automating processes to improve data extraction and analysis efficiency. * Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
