Job description

Experteer Overview As a Software Engineer at Lam, you design, develop, and debug software that enables our etch and deposition equipment. You’ll build tools that support design, infrastructure, and technology platforms, ensuring seamless software-hardware integration. You join a centralized software engineering team that collaborates across the portfolio to solve complex industry challenges. This role offers scope to influence product design and customer outcomes through robust software solutions and mentoring. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for enhancements and new products * Implement new customer requirements and features in existing applications * Maintain and enhance codebase by diagnosing and resolving issues * Document solutions with clear code, diagrams, and explanations * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop software * Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers * Possibly visit customer sites with travel up to 10% Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or PhD with no professional experience; or equivalent * Knowledge of Object-Oriented Software/Design/Programming (OOS/OOD/OOP) including design patterns and finite state machines * Knowledge of multithreading and preemptive thread scheduling * Knowledge of communication protocols I2C, SPI, UART Key requirements * hybrid work options * On-site Flex or Virtual Flex * opportunity to work remotely part of the week * equal opportunity employer
