Senior Security Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead and execute information security operations, response, and engineering to safeguard HUB’s mission-critical apps. You will work with IT and security teams to design and maintain effective security operations, playbooks, and tooling, with 24/7 readiness for critical incidents. You’ll drive continuous improvement of security posture and operational metrics, while staying current with security technologies and industry practices. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused on reducing risk at scale and influencing security tooling strategy. Compensation / Benefits * Manage and drive completion of projects within the security operations scope * Support security operations and engineering for HUB’s critical applications * Be available 24/7 for critical incident response * Ensure security tooling is operational and meeting service levels * Contribute to playbooks, posture management, and continuous improvement * Lead telemetry configuration for security operations across applications/infrastructure * Suggest upgrades and changes to HUB security tooling and services * Support governance and compliance activities during risk assessments and audits * Produce weekly/monthly posture and response reports * Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams on security operations and projects Tasks * 8+ years of information security operations experience * 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and O365 * 3+ years in security incident response and operations * 3+ years in defining and improving operational processes * Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, WAF, SIEM, and SOAR * Experience with Active Directory / MS Entra ID * Experience with SOAR and query languages (KQL, SPL) * Scripting in PowerShell, Python, and shell * Strong knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC2, PCI, SOX) * Experience with Windows Event and network device logging * Project management, systems design and integration experience * Ability to lead cross-team projects and communicate effectively * Willingness to travel up to 10% * Bachelor’s degree in technology or related field Key requirements * health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance * FSA/HSA * 401(k) with matching * paid time off (vacation, sick, personal) * floating holidays * company holidays
