The Transformation Consulting Architect partners with customers to translate technical modernization into measurable business transformation. This role connects VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) capabilities with the customer’s operating model, ensuring the technology can actually be consumed and operated effectively. The consultant drives organizational alignment, governance, process design, and capability development to enable customers to function as internal cloud providers., Lead operating model assessments and design sessions across business, process, and technology domains. Define transformation roadmaps that connect technical modernization to business outcomes. Partner with architecture teams to align design decisions with organizational readiness and operating constraints. Advise C-level and operational leaders on governance, cost transparency, automation strategy, and capability maturity. Develop and present business cases and transformation strategies that drive adoption of private and hybrid cloud platforms. Facilitate change management, role design, and enablement programs to build sustainable cloud operations. Align execution with VMware’s Modern Private Cloud (MPC) and VCF Operating Model frameworks. Track value realization and measure transformation progress through KPIs and outcome metrics., Certification or formal training in VCF 9 and/or industry standard frameworks (e.g., ITIL 4, TOGAF, FinOps). Redefine cloud team roles and skill matrices. Build enablement and training programs for operational teams. Coach leaders on sustaining transformation momentum. Document decision frameworks, playbooks, and governance artifacts. Measurement & Continuous Improvement

Implement cloud KPIs and maturity assessments. Facilitate operating model retrospectives and feedback loops. Align outcomes to business performance metrics. Support continuous improvement using data-driven insights. Broad Technical Literacy

8+ years in IT transformation, consulting, or enterprise architecture. Strong understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation and cloud operating models. Proven experience driving organizational change, process redesign, or operating model transformation. Excellent executive facilitation and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business domains. Experience with FinOps, service-based operating models, or cloud governance frameworks. Background in management consulting or enterprise transformation. Familiarity with automation platforms (VCF-A, VCF-O, Terraform, ServiceNow, CI/CD) and DevOps practices. Certifications, Working knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x / 9.x. Familiarity with automation tools, CI/CD, and cloud governance. Understanding of multi-cloud integration and FinOps practices. Awareness of adjacent frameworks.
