Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Project Scheduling Consultant to join our team. In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop, manage, and optimize project schedules related to data center construction, expansion, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, an analytical mindset, and extensive experience in data center operations., Develop comprehensive project schedules for data center projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and milestones for effective scheduling.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to create and maintain project timelines, critical paths, and dependencies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and propose corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and update project plans to reflect changes in scope, resources, or timelines.
- Provide regular status reports and schedule updates to project teams and senior management.
- Assist in resource allocation and optimization to enhance project efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies, and procedures in all scheduling activities.
- Support risk management efforts by identifying scheduling risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all scheduling processes and project deliverables.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project scheduling, ideally within data center environments or related industries.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of data center operations, construction processes, and technical requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is an advantage but not required.
