Experteer Overview In this Staff Software Engineer role, you set the technical direction for the DAP Repository Flows team and drive complex, cross-team initiatives on the Duo Agent Platform. You’ll design autonomous and scheduled agents that operate on customer codebases and shape the onboarding experience to enable rapid project setup. You collaborate across teams to align interfaces and platform capabilities, mentor engineers, and raise the team’s technical bar. You’ll work in an async-first,高-context culture to deliver AI-powered automation at scale and strengthen the product’s developer experience. Compensation / Benefits * Set and drive the technical direction for the DAP Repository Flows team and architecture decisions * Lead design and delivery of autonomous and scheduled agents on customer codebases atop the Duo Agent Platform * Refine the DAP onboarding experience for quick project configuration * Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders to align interfaces, patterns, and platform capabilities * Mentor engineers, review designs and code, and raise technical quality * Identify and resolve hard technical problems and design for prevention * Foster autonomy, ownership, high-context sharing, and async-first collaboration Tasks * Ruby and Ruby on Rails in production systems * Experience integrating LLMs into products (product integration, not ML training) * Experience building agentic systems (autonomous or semi-autonomous agents) * Track record of designing and shipping complex, high-scale systems and guiding technical direction across teams * Strong written communication and ability to operate in a distributed, async-first environment * Judgment and influence expected of a staff-level engineer (direction setting, unblocking others, multiplying impact) Key requirements * Flexible Paid Time Off * Team Member Resource Groups * Equity Compensation & Employee Stock Purchase Plan * Growth and Development Fund * Parental Leave
