Job description

A Software Development Engineer 1 on the invoicing actively participates in building and supporting backend services for provider invoicing. They’d drive architectural conversations and collaboration across teams, ensuring adherence to high quality of deliverables supporting easy product operations. What You’ll Do:

  • Designing, developing, implementing, and testing highly available, scalable systems in a cloud-native microservice architecture.

  • Contributing new ideas for features and platform enhancements.

  • Collaborate with product management, architecture, and your cross-functional peers.

  • Creating a culture where teamwork is valued and risk-taking is rewarded.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Do you have experience in gRPC?, * Good design and architectural skills.

  • Experience building endpoints leveraging REST, GraphQL and protobufs.

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving mindset.

  • Strong process management and Agile skills.

  • Outstanding listening skills.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

  • Ideal candidates will have 2+ years’ experience in backend software development.

  • 3+ years of designing, developing, implementing, and testing highly available, scalable systems in a cloud-native microservice architecture.

  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and aggressive delivery timelines; Agile development experience (including tools like Visual studio, Git, TeamCity, SCRUM/Agile tools).

  • 3+ years of programming language experience with C# (F# or equivalent).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Preferred AWS).

  • Experience implementing and consuming API protocols: GraphQL, gRPC, SOAP, and REST APIs (GraphQL with Hot Chocolate framework ideal).

  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (design, administration, tuning).

  • Experience using Git or other similar version control system.

  • Resourceful and have the ability to find solutions even when they are not obvious.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change because priorities will adjust in response to the market.

  • You know how to balance proactive and reactive strategy and execution.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to drill down into tactical considerations.

  • A team player with a proven ability to foster and manage positive working relationships in a matrixed environment.

  • Business and outcome focused.

  • Working knowledge of GenAI and how to leverage related technologies into product development workstreams.

  • Familiarity with AI assisted coding tools.

  • Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs.
