Application Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and build middleware-oriented web services and lead junior teammates within a development team. You will implement and support enterprise releases, working across back-end systems and client apps in a J2EE environment. You’ll collaborate with SMEs, architects, and analysts while participating in all SDLC phases. You’ll help establish a Dev/Sec/Ops mindset and contribute to long-range IT planning, aligning with the client’s secure, standards-based goals. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop SOAP/REST Java web services in a J2EE environment * Interact with multiple back-end systems and client applications * Participate in all SDLC phases: documentation, code reviews, research, support * Lead intermediate and junior team members in design, development, and testing * Support enterprise releases and middleware business services * Collaborate with Chief Engineer to establish an enterprise Dev/Sec/Ops environment * Assist in long-range IT strategic planning aligned to client goals Tasks * 5+ years of application development and implementation experience * 5+ years of JavaEE experience * 2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services experience * 3+ years of development and implementation experience with applications, databases, or both * Full stack engineering experience and IT systems integration * Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) * Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) * US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret Clearance (Interim to start) * Security+ CE or related certification; computing environment certification (e.g., RedHat, Java) Key requirements *
