Experteer Overview In this Data Scientist role, you tackle challenging P&C underwriting analytics by prototyping models and deploying data science products. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into actionable insights and build scalable, production-ready solutions. The role emphasizes rigorous model development within risk management standards and staying current with advanced techniques. Compensation / Benefits * Gathers, interprets, and manipulates structured and unstructured data for advanced analytics * Develops scalable ML, simulation, and optimization solutions to deliver business value * Selects modeling techniques aligned with data and business needs * Develops and deploys models within MDC and MRM frameworks * Translates business requests into analytical questions and communicates results to non-technical stakeholders * Collaborates with Data Engineering, IT, and business partners to deploy production-ready analytics assets * Maintains awareness of cutting-edge techniques and seeks learning opportunities * Ensures risk management and compliance in modeling activities Tasks * 4 years of experience in predictive analytics or data analysis or advanced degree with 2 years experience * 2 years of experience in training and validating statistical or ML models * 2 years of experience with Python or R and scripting * SQL and data querying experience * Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data * Experience communicating results to non-technical stakeholders * Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised modeling techniques * Ability to assess regulatory implications of modeling efforts Key requirements * medical, dental, vision plans * 401(k) and pension * life insurance * parental benefits and adoption assistance * paid time off and holidays * volunteer hours and wellness programs
