As our new Integration Architect you will be assigned to projects or initiatives that involve designing, reviewing, and optimizing integrations within a major application or set of applications. The Integration Architect has a deep specialization in integration system design and architecture, systems orchestrations, and systems integration development, especially using integration platforms as a service (iPaas) as well as cloud-based integration tools and managed file transfer solutions. You will translate complex business objectives into architectural designs that meet requirements for security, compliance, and scalability. This involves continually collaborating with various business units, OIT development teams, and other OIT teams to ensure that integration solutions are fully documented and adhere to industry best practices and technical standards for the State of Colorado. Some of the day to day opportunities include: Bridging API-first integration development and point-to-point development to enable different

software applications, systems, and data sources to communicate and work together seamlessly. Providing comparisons of technical options for Integrations solutions, determining the most

resilient, efficient, and cost-effective approaches to meet customer demands. Guiding teams from a hands-on technical approach with the development of code, integrations,

data conversions, and other technical activities in the course of each given development cycle. Creating and writing solid, detailed technical features and user stories (aka “enablers” for technical roadmap) Consulting on new projects to determine best architecture for the app/workload, estimated costs to host app, publish designs/recommendations. Providing technical leadership and acting as technical authority and mentor to the Enterprise Integrations team, providing guidance on best practices and architectural principles., OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state agency locations where they might perform work.

A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process. Post-employment background checks will be required for specific agencies as business needs dictate, which may include a polygraph exam, fingerprint-based criminal history search, reference checks, and a drug test.

This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.

Requirements

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.

This is a skills-based job announcement. The required minimum qualifications and/or education (if substituting for the proven experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows:

Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working with development technologies such as C# .Net, SQL Server or MySQL, TFS, Visual Studio, JavaScript/Typescript, .Net, .NETCore.

Experience with Mulesoft.

Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD. Familiarity with performing data research to determine proper data relationships and source validation

Substitutions:

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.

If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis., Experience with relational database technologies such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or others desired Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines a plus Experience using Azure DevOps a plus Familiarity with source code management tools such as TFS or Git a plus Familiarity with Cloud technologies such as AWS a plus Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment a plus Experience working with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Business Warehouse a plus Experience working with system orchestration and automation a plus
