Job description

Setup and manage Netsertive CICD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) system which includes build and deployment servers
Setup/Maintain Netsertive Code Repository system
Setup/Maintain all Kubernetes (K8s) clusters
Troubleshoot Environment/Code/Config type problems
Create and implement procedures to improve code delivery
Monitor daily production logs from all applications
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Create tools that will assist with day to day system administration tasks
Automate the deployment of new environments
Communicate and collaborate with Software Engineers, System Engineers, Network Engineers, and Database Admins
Server as a backup to all System Engineers
Be responsible for the health and performance of all production systems
Troubleshoot all production system issues
Manage all code deployments to production and staging environments
Be a mentor to all other DevOps Engineers with in Netsertive
Documentation of all production systems

Requirements

BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
7 years of experience in software development role or system administration role
Expert knowledge of Linux OS
Expert knowledge of Bash or other scripting languages such as Python
Expert with source control system administration such as Git, SVN, Github, or Mercurial
Expert knowledge of LAMP stack technologies (java, apache, mysql, php, etc)
Expert knowledge of creating deploy and build plans within Jenkins or Atlassian Bamboo
Expert knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker
Expert knowledge of setup and maintenance of a Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and K8s ecosystem technologies such as istio, Prometheus, Ark, Helm Charts, Zipkin
Expert knowledge of Amazon Web Services including Elastic Load Balancers (ELB), EC2, VPC, RDS, ASG
Experience in VMware ESXi Servers or other virtualization technologies
Experience in Java development
Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix around application performance monitoring and system level monitoring
Experience with centralized logging solutions such as Graylog2
Experience working with in an Agile development environment
Positive, service-oriented attitude
Experience with creating and managing projects with in Atlassian JIRA
Experience with creating and managing code repositories with in Atlassian BitBucket
Passion for learning new tech such as Apache Kafka, Mongo DB, etc
Ability to analyze information quickly and problem solve
